KIAの教育の魅力は？ What makes the KIA education appealing?
教育という作業は、本来は泥臭く、スポットライトが光り輝き当たるようなものではないと思っています。小さな悩みや問題に、寄り添い、解決を見守り、「待ち続ける」作業の連続です。そこに寄り添い続けてくれる教育者はもやは、「職人」です。とはいえ、生徒がいなければ、そもそも学校が成り立ちません。入学してもらう為には「見せる、映え」を意識することも不可欠です。
ですが、学園の創業者であり、経営のリーダーは、お母さんとしての思いでこの学園を立ち上げた人であるということ。その泥臭い教育者という職人達に日々寄り添ってもらい、一番助けてもらい、母としその重要性を一番知っている人です。その創業者の思い、理念が学園コミュニティーの裾野まで広がっている、もしくは広げる努力を惜しまない。その姿勢がこの学園の魅力だと思っています。
The education process requires tenacity and can be unglamorous. It requires patience and demands you to be empathetic and constantly work through solutions to small problems. In that sense, educators are like artisans. However, schools don’t exist without students so sometimes it’s necessary to draw eyeballs and show off certain aspects of our school.
Our founder, who is also in charge of business strategy, opened the school driven by desires that only a parent possesses. As a parent, she understands how much of the work we do can be gruelling, with the teachers helping her on a daily basis. Her vision spreads throughout the school community and we do everything we can to spread that vision. Our perseverance is our greatest asset.
卒業後どのような人になってほしいですか？ What qualities do you want the students to have after they graduate?
自分を見つけ、自分の幸せの価値を知り、年齢と共に広がる世界を楽しみ、挑戦し、一歩ずつ価値観を広げ、心豊かな人生を送って欲しいです。
I want all of the students to discover who they are, understand what makes them happy, discover new worldviews as they mature, challenge themselves, and lead fulfilling lives.

私が何者であるかを共に問うてくれる組織、子育ての伴走者。
KIA is an organization where I’m confronted with the question “who are you?” all the time. It is also my childrearing partner.
